Our sentimental journey
Back to the times that gave us the happiest invention! Rock-'n-roll, pop culture and America's almighty Hamburger!Inspired by the 50s
The story started when my dad missed what hamburgers used to taste like during his childhood and adamantly declared that “burgers from the 1950s were way better than any burger around now.” They had a distinctive flavor and texture.

Joe MacCowles (my father) with his parents at Burger Chef
Creating the awesome burger
We stuck four chefs in a kitchen and asked them to create the perfect burger, so instead of competing against each other this time around, we made it our mission to create the very best version of different burger categories.
WHAT'S IN A NAME?
YO! is named after my father, Joe. I wanted a name that meant something to me, and using his nickname is very significant; somehow, it is our everyday quality check so that our burgers get you to your happy place.
